**Zambia's Ambassador to Japan Dr Wamundila Mbikusita-Lewanika passed away on 05/12/2011 in Japan. Before moving to Japan Dr Mbikusita - Lewanica served the Zambian Government in various portfolios including Permanent Secretary - Ministry of Finance and National Planning, Premanent Secretary - Ministry of Mines, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Director General - Zambia Investment Centre. Prior to that he also worked for ZCCM and Copperbelt University as a Lecturer then Dean for School of Business Studies. Dr Mbikusita - Lewanika was the immediate young brother of Akashambatwa Mbikusita - Lewanika. LEWANIKA BURIAL The body of the late Zambia's Ambassador to Japan Dr Wamundila Mbikusita-Lewanika who passed away on 05/12/011 in Japan arrived in Mongu where it lay in state in readiness for burial was buried on 13/2011M.H.S.R.I.P

06/12/2011Burial for the late RUPIA KATEMA ZULU took place on Saturday 03/12/011 in Lusaka, Zambia. A short farewell service was held on Wednesday 30/11/2011 at 16hrs. at C.J Reilly Funeral Services New,Eltham, S.East London where family, friends and relatives paid their last very emotional respects to the late. Rupia's body was flown back home to Zambia 01/12/2011 accompaned by his sister and family.Rupia passed away last week in a London hospital after a long illness. He is survived by a wife and three children. MHSRIP

29/11/2011Mr Isaac Mawele went to Zambia on a family / business visit. During the visit Mr Mawele had a sudden bout of malaria which killed him as he was resting on a chair early hours of the morning on 26/11/2011 at home in Lusaka Zambia. Back in South West London where he lived, he is survived by a wife and two teenage children ( boy and girl).Mr Mawele was a popular friendly person in the Zambian community in London who was loved and respected by all. Mrs Mawele will be travelling to Zambia this week for the funeral together with the children.Isaac will be greatly missed by all. On behalf of Mrs Lillian Mufalo & family, Mr Ndiwa Yuyi & family, Mrs Matilda Mawele & family, i would like to thank the Zambian community for the physical, emotional and material support that was rendered on the demise of my dearest brother in-law, the late Isaac Mawele. Mia, the daugher of Patrick and Grace Kamangala was born on 17th September 2009. She was only 20 months old on her death. Noah's cousin Jessica suddenly passed away after a short illness in Zambia on the 13th January 2011, a week after Noah and his mother had returned to the UK. Jessica spent Christmas and New Year with Noah (seen in photo) in the same house in Chelstone, Lusaka. Years have gone by. After a short bout of Malaria,The first born Cheyo (right) passed away in Lusaka aged 25 after migrating back to Zambia from S. Africa.A few years later the second born Njelekwa fell ill. He had moved in with agogo(My Mother) in Lusaka West and was clearlly missing his older brother.Cheyo and Njelekwa had lived together all their lives in Malawi,S Africa and back home in Zambia. They were never apart.Njelekwa passed away peacifully in bed aged 28 after a long battle with alcohol which he had started consuming heavily due to missing his brother. It was not possible for me to travel for their funerals at the time. REST IN PEACE BOYS Dad Ronnie

**Mrs Manda and family expressed deep appreciation to everyone that took time to come and bid farewell in prayers to their beloved late Elizabeth Kondwani Manda at the Church service held on 27/12/2011in Golders Green, N, London. “I urge the community to remain united as our culture demands us to. Seeing the number of people who have been coming to comfort us since Kondwani’s death has been overwhelming. I thank everyone from down deep my heart for their presence at the Church Service and at home”. Zambia’s Ambassador to Belgium Dr. Inonge Mbikusita Lewanika who had travelled from Belgium for the Church service, applauded and thanked the large number of mourners for coming to the service. Mrs Manda and family left for Zambia Friday 30/12/2011 with Kondwani’s body. Friday, January 6th, 2012 Charity Shamboko died on Thursday, 5th January 2012. The death was confirmed to ZAMUK by her brother Mr Pazu Shamboko.The funeral is being held at 1 Kingsmead House, Kingsmead Estates, Hommerton Road London E9 5QH.Arrangements are being made to take the body to Zambia.A prayer service was held for the late Charity Shamboko at the funeral house on Saturday 07/01/2012. Family friends and relatives continued to gather in numbers at the house on Sunday to pay last respects.The family will soon announce when the body will leave for burial in Zambia. MHSRIP.
